Spotlight is the Music Network's regular podcast shining the spotlight on people involved in music in their working life.
Dr Anne MacGregor did undergraduate and masters degrees in performance (piano at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland), a PhD in musicology (on the songs of the Swedish composer Ture Rangström (1884-1947) as expressions of identity, at the University of Nottingham), freelanced for eighteen months in between, and recently made the bold decision to give up her post as academic music lecturer and step into music ministry full time at her local church.
In this podcast recorded in February 2022, Music Network Assistant Becky Chevis discusses with Anne the opportunities and challenges that she faced as a Christian performer and academic, and what advice she would give to music students who are currently wondering what to do next.
